These sterling silver charms are the coolest! They are tiny silver stitches that are perfect on a necklace, charm bracelet, a sampler, a special stitching basket or needlecase... just anywhere! Miniature Sterling Silver Scissors
Here is a neat trio of scissors you might have missed. (I am showing them all to you so you can compare the sizes.) The first is our regular 4-inch matte black witch embroidery scissor by Uncommon Scissors. Very unique in design, these are always fun in a Halloween Sewing case, or cute with a spooky fob attached.
Next... PAY ATTENTION to our exquisite sterling silver miniature version by Charland Designs! Solid sterling, measuring a mere 1-1/2 inches in length, these are the SAME witch design -- only silver and smaller! They even open and close! Then... check out the 1-5/8 inch sterling bunny scissors! I don't have larger scissors that match those, but I wish we did! A charming rabbit design on both scissor sides... he opens and closes, too! Stunning inside pretty sewing cases, and extra-charming with an EXTRA-TEENY fob attached to them... you could even wear these as a necklace. Charland's miniature scissors are one of my favorite things we carry in the shop -- I think they are unique, and know they are hand-made with love!

Santa Bell Pull Hardware
What a charming Santa this is -- perfect to dress up some fancy Christmas stitching of yours!!! Designed by Nancy Halvorsen of Art-to-Heart designs for Charland Designs... this is a smoothly casted, heavy piece of beautifully brushed pewter that is perfectly shaped to present something long and skinny!
Nancy's cute artwork shows in his beard and textured dots and stripes of his coat and sack. Measuring approx 5 inches wide, and 1-3/4 inches high, the display bar will hold up to 4-1/2 inches of fabric. Charland has a witch, Gardening Angel, Spooky Bats and Angel Wings in her Pewter Hardware collection... this little guy is a spectacular addition!

Angel Wings and Halloween Bats!
Charland has two new brushed pewter mini-bellpull hanging hardware pieces... seems like we're crossing seasons and holidays here... with angels and bats at the same time!
The Halloween Bat is designed to hold fabrics up to 2-3/4 inches in width, while the Angel Wings are smaller, with a 2-inch bar. Just the topper piece, you might need to add a tassel or weight to the end of your piece, depending on length. Those angel wings look just like a handlebar mustache to me... what do you think???

Witch and Garden Angel Bell Pull Hardware
Pat Thode of The Artists Collection has designed a pair of DARLING brushed pewter bell pull hangers! Choose between a flying Witch or Garden Angel... both with checkerboarded design detail. Charland Designs has casted them of pewter, making hangers that can hold needlework up to 3-3/4 inches wide.
There is so much design detail on these, you will be enchanted! Dress details, the curly-q's on the pumpkin stem, the witch's hat and shoes, and that awesome cat tail... I have no specific project in mind for these hangers... but you'll find something that's perfect!!! So many possibilities!

Gingerbread Needle House
Charland has another cute needlework etui house that joins her haunted and beach houses... this one a gingerbread piece!
Offered as a kit, you get EVERYTHING to make this little thing, except the 11 x 32 cut of Weeks 30ct Mocha linen. All the walls, roof and inside pieces are stitched and covered with needlework or calico fabrics of a Christmas print. A sterling lollypop charm dresses the roof, as well.
 Complete kit contains the pre-cut house 'walls' -- the boards, the battings, all the threads, ribbons and Christmas prints... and LOTS of detailed instructions to make your cottage look just like Charland's!
Finishes approx 4 x 4 x 6, with removable roof... which allows each wall to float open to reveal your organized needles and scissors stored inside!

3 New Nautical Charms
We have three new solid sterling silver charms, hand-made by Charland (and her kids!) , that join our scallop, pirate ship, mermaid... and a bunch of others! A little flounder, a pelican and a tiny lighthouse... each of these has lots of detail... and are perfect for a charm bracelet or as
embellishments on needlework! You just have to have the right things -- which most of us DO! Lovely detail... even though the pirate ship isn't the newest, it is DEFINITELY my favorite!

Miniature Bunny and Witch Scissors!
By Charland Designs, known for her sterling silver charms, these are actual, moving scissors (don't think they cut anything, though!) that measure a minute 1-5/8 inches in length!!!!! They are so cute! Look at all the details on the bunny... both pair have the design details on both sides, as well! Awesome to tuck into a special sewing case or framed on a sampler, they are delicate... so a charm bracelet is probably not the best application for these. I've never seen anything like them, they are enchanting!

Articulated Characters by Mosey 'n Me!
Oh my gosh... check out this set of darling charms -- each has arms and legs that dangle and swing around -- making them come *ALIVE!!!* Designed by Frank of Mosey 'n Me, Charland has re-created his talents in these tiny works of art! We've had some of these for a few years... but they deserve a bit of special attention because they are truly exquisite, and *darn cute!* Perfect in sewing cases, on fun stitched pieces, earrings, a necklace... get creative!
The Witch is 1-1/2 inches, has moving arms and legs, even striped leggings!The Snowman is 1-3/8 inches, his arms move, and you can see his charcoal briquette mouth!Uncle Sam (I don't think Frank designed this one) stands 1-3/8 of an inch tall, moving legs and arms, and a big old star on his shirt.Mr Skeleton is amazing! He's 1-3/8 inches, jointed in his stomach.The little bird is just precious... his little legs move... he's only about 7/8 of an inch in size. Quite the fun, little things, I'm sure you can think of a million fun places to use these... or a perfect occasion to give one as a gift! Each is solid sterling, handmade by Charland and her crew!

Seashore Charms!
Here are 6 teeny-weeny charms that all have the same 'water-y' theme to them! You'll notice the little 1/2 inch crab -- Bent Creek used it on their Fish Shoppe that is featured on the 40-Designer Town Square CD. (We added him to the Summer Snapperland!) Then, we have a turtle -- 5/8 of an inch, a scallop -- also 5/8 an inch, and an awesome lobster, who is 3/4 of
an inch in length -- and cheaper than you'll find in a restaurant!!! Next... is a miniature mermaid! She's 3/4 of an inch.
My absolute favorite is the tiny Tall Ship!!! I think there are probably pirates on there, but they're so tiny, I just can't see them! It measures a mere 5/8 of an inch. Exquisite little works of solid sterling silver art... these are just too pretty to store away in our charm boxes underneath the sales counter, and not show to you!!! Get 'em for something... (doesn't matter if you don't know right now!)... just don't pass them up!!!!

Beach Needle House
Another of Charland's cute little etui houses... Beach House is too cute to set in the sand by the water! Stitched on all four sides and the roof, simply lift off that roof to find all the 'pages' inside to store needles, threaders, scissors and tiny what-nots.
Decorated with mermaids, seashells, waves and a sterling starfish charm, this is a complete kit that contains the Birdhouse Enterprises box kit of pre-cut boards.
The threads included in the kit are quite varied: Crescents, Weeks and Gentle Art overdyed flosses, Wildflowers hand-dyed silks, and a bit of icy-blue metallic braid, the colors are dusty, nautical and lovely.
All lining fabrics are included, so your beach house will look like our pic... and be MUCH easier to afford and maintain than its counterpart by the sea! Check out the matching scissor case, too!

Garden Needlehouse Scissor Case
Roses, bees and herbs -- tiny bits of them decorate this springtime scissor case. Very easy stitching on 27ct white Linda cloth (like Lugana), this is done in DMC and Weeks flosses -- no special stitches.
Finishing instructions, interfacing and lining fabrics are included to make a small pouch for scissors... and there is a wonderful sterling silver charm of garden scissors to attach as a decoration. Even that pretty floral lining fabric is included, so you can make this in a jiffy -- having all the
ingredients at hand! Charted alphabet is included for personalization, as
well.

Haunted Needle House
Charland has been busy again designing another miniature house Etui -- a little sewing case! This kit is full of stuff, and I think it weighs at least a full pound!! You stitch the four walls of the house, the roof, and interior needle pages, cover all the pre-cut boards with the provided fabrics and puffy linings, tack the pieces together, and you have a darling little house that is folded and held closed by the removable roof piece!
Her kit contains the charts and finishing instructions, the pre-cut house pieces, the 28ct Jubilee fabric, all the necessary flosses -- both overdyed and DMC, ribbon and a sterling house charm. There are areas on the house that would be perfect for extra charms -- like Charland's spiders and grave stones -- you could get really carried away with this!
Anyhow, it's real cute, a companion to her Garden Needle House, and measures approx 3-1/2 x 5. And who knows... if you make some really bad stitching mistakes or do a sloppy finishing job... you could REALLY HAVE your very own Haunted House!!!

Rose Charm Holder
 Charland designed this exclusively for The Silver Needle... a beautifully detailed charmholder that features three roses hiding the pin attachment behind it. Untuck the twisted bar, and thread on charms of your choice -- the stitches, quilt blocks, knitting things, or any of the other darling charms we have... and you have a really neat stitcher's piece of jewelry!!!
(You can place a colored bead between the charms on the bar to separate them a bit... anything will do, as long as the hole is large enough to fit around the twisted bar.) We wanted something special to show off all the cool stitcher charms she has, and this is perfect! It measures a little over 1 inch!

Garden Needlehouse
Ms Charland has been a busy lady, she designed and stitched (herself!, she told me!) a darling little needlehouse, complete with sterling garden shovel charm! I know you've seen this house template, each piece of the house is stitched and lined, and removing the roof opens up each of the 'flaps' inside!
Offered as a complete kit of all the charts, 27ct White Linda Cloth, DMC flosses as well as Weeks, Crescent and Needle Necessities overdyed flosses. The complete house kit also contains assembly instructions and pre-cut boards, ribbons, all the fabric linings shown in the pic, and that darling little shovel charm designed by Frank of Mosey 'n Me... whew, I'm out of breath!
Definitely a read-before-you-start-this kit... it is just
darling! Our pics show you some of the details! There is a spot for a
thimble, areas to store needles, a place for scissors... you stitch
everything first, them assemble each piece and attach together. Great
details about all that in here! Very pretty, delicate pinks, lavenders and
greens, the little closed house finishes approx 3-1/2 x 5 inches.

Little Measure
How much classier can your stitching bag get than a sterling silver ruler measurer??? Charland has created a miniature ruler that is just an inch long!!! Use it as a charm on your necklace... but better yet, attach one to the inside of a favorite needlecase or chatelaine! You can ACTUALLY USE THIS to measure stuff!!! You know how you need to measure 3 inches over and down to begin the project... and you don't have a ruler in sight??? This little dream is perfect! They've even engraved the reverse side with a tiny floral border! Very miniature, very cute, very USEFUL!!!

The Empress Thread Cutter
 Oh, such a pretty thing, this is a miniature sterling silver thread cutter! Designed and manufactured by Charland, this measures a mere 3/4 of an inch in diameter, and has a flower on one side, and a Celtic Knot design on the other. Small enough to be a charm, but large enough to slice your threads... this is a beautiful piece of jewelry! Wear it on a chain, add it to your stitches charm bracelet or necklace, use Charland's Little Clipper to attach it where ever you like... even inside a prized stitched sewing case! So pretty and classy... A DEFINITE 'have to have!'

Side By Side
from Just Nan and Charland Designs
The 2003 friendship collaboration from JN and Charland this year's design is a lovely, delicate band sampler full of special stitches and bold raspberry and lavender colors! Finishing approx 3 x 12 on 28ct Cashel Linen, it's stitched in flosses with touches of Vintage Violets Silk 'n Colors thread and Mill Hill beads -- they're the bird eggs in the teeny nests! The border features hidden motifs and places to add your initials and those of your stitching friends... but they look like they belong to the piece!!! The crowning feature, however, is the really cool sterling charm that's included. Charland's is a bird perched on a needle. So is Nan's... but the needles slide together, so the birds share the same stitching branch!!! Very detailed, very delicate and pretty... birds of a feather really DO stitch together!!! Kits contain both designers charts, both sterling charms and touches of overdyed silk and glass beads. Don't forget to check out all the other new releases from this batch!
