Peace, Love and Candy Corn -- The Trick or Treat All Through the Year Series Cherrywood has a new series of 12 Halloween designs -- releasing in pairs over the next few months. The first is Peace, Love... Always a larger and smaller design... always stitched on Week's hand-dyed linens using Crescent's flosses and Week's wools to finish, and JABCO button embellishments... this set is AWESOME! We saw and photographed all the models for the entire series at our Spring trade show a couple of weeks ago -- with the strict rules that we cannot share pics ahead of time!!! The Cherrywood gals have really done a nice job with this set -- cute, unique and unusual designs, GREAT finishing suggestions, wonderful colors -- all offered as charts. I think you'll be pleased with what is in store for you!!! Peace Love and Candy corn stitches up to be 5 x 7. The little wool banner/rug/mat trimmed with wool candy corns measures approx 9 x 11. Have a Ball! We brought home a few limited edition kits from market a couple of weeks ago... and even though it was 80 degrees in Tulsa today... we're still mourning the fact that we had no snow this past winter!!! Anyway, this is a fun snowman design stitched on 30ct Weeks Sky Linen in overdyeds. Along with the special chart, you get a clay carrot nose, 5 wool snowballs, the wire to curl for the hanger (see the snowballs on it?) and the cute printed grosgrain tape that makes the bow trim. You add bits of flosses from your stash. The whole thing is a mere 2-1/2 x 3 -- just a real cute winter-y decoration! Chart comes with the wire, balls, ribbon and nose.
March 15 My Heart is Quilted By Cherrywood, this is a chubby heart that is constructed of little 1/2 inch blocks of Crosses and Smyrnas. Worked on the new 28ct Milk Chocolate Linen in Weeks or Crescents's pinks, greens and whites... either color scheme delivers you a very textured and organized 6 x 8 heart. The chart is a tiny study of mini-quilt blocks. How fun to stitch the main grid and then fill in all the tiny squares that are only 6 x 6 stitches in area! Offered as a chart, you could skip the entire heart and make some smaller fobs and ornaments as an option!
Snowman Kisses 'Noses get in the way!' This is such a cute design... we wanted to highlight it in time for this year's SNOW! Stitch it on any blue fabric you want... it has a stitch count of 57 x 187. We have loads of different counts and colors of fabric to choose from. Now, about those noses... the CONFLICT in this story. Don't stitch them on there... use little clay ones! We have extra-bitty-1/4 inch sticky-out noses all the way to 3/4 of an inch. We have flat ones in 4 sizes! We have bright orange or tea dyed... You get to pick your noses for this!!! It doesn't get any better! Offered as a chart, our noses run from $1.00 to $1.75 each. Black Cats Prowl 30ct Tiger's Eye Linen... 6 x 6 finished design, 'Black cats prowl and pumpkins gleam, may luck be yours this halloween.' Offered as the chart.
Good Witch 'It's all in the hat!' Even a good witch can have a bad hair day... 18ct Sweet Lavendar linen, #5 Perle Cotton, this finishes approx 9 x 9. VERY fun to work because of the colors and size of linen and threads!
HoHoHo Ribbons & Pumpkins on Parade Ribbons A pair of band samplers -- finished into stand-up cubes -- embellished with buttons and really cute printed ribbon. That Ho Ho Ho ribbon and the Pumpkins on Parade ribbon are included with your charts! Ho Ho includes some stars, and Pumpkins uses the buttons as pumpkins. Cute and quick, these finish approx 4 x 4 or 5 x 5 depending on your stitching fabric. Charts come with the 7-inch ribbon cut and buttons.
Bad Witch It's all in the shoes! The verse on this reads; 'You'd be a Bad Witch too... if you had to wear these shoes!' Cherrywood Design Studios has several cute Halloween-inspired designs this Fall... and I like this one a lot! (I would hate those shoes... but check out the cute tights and socks!) Anyway, a fun design full of bright oranges, greens, purples and of course, black. Stitch count of 56 x 101... choose almost any fun color of fabric! Offered as a chart.
Witch Shoes 'Shall I wear today?' 20 x 109 Stitch count... fun to hang in your walk-in-closet!!! Pick a wild color of fabric you'd never use for anything else -- you can do whatever you want!
Halloween Ribbons A limited edition chart, this features easy stitching -- all in black -- and includes a 7-inch piece of decorated gros-grain ribbon, and a set of 5 black buttons -- for the spiders!!! VERY cute! Choose a bright fabric to complement one of the colors in the printed ribbon.
Curly Q Witch Darling verse; 'A curly Q witch on her curly Q broom takes off for the night in a curly Q zoom!' Choose a fun fabric, and you're all set! Offered as a chart, stitch count is 71 x 190.
Gone Trick or Treatin' Gosh... I remember Trick or Treating until that bag WAS really heavy, and we were just too tired to keep running! DARLING pillow finishing on this one... there are orange buttons dotting the white checkerboards around the border of the design for the version stitched on 10ct Black Tula. Offered as a chart, choose any fabric you want... but this does include the orange and purple button embellishments for BOTH of these versions! Stitch count of 102 x 102.
Witch's Checklist Another fun Halloween design with wildly colored fabric and gigantic ric-rack trim... stitch count is 63 x 161. There are little clay spiders called for... the purple JABCO ones... that you might have in your stash! Very cute.
A Baby A Manger This is a neat design, stitched in only two colors -- Week's Honeysuckle and Mascara. On 28ct Cashel Linen, it finishes approx 6-1/2 x 9-1/2, and looks great finished into the cube as shown. Very tailored, quiet and nice. 'A Baby A Manger, A bright shining Star, a Shepherd and Angel, Three Kings from Afar.' Offered as a chart.
Wild Snowmen This is a cute design by Cherrywood Studio -- just simple cross stitches in overdyeds on 28ct Millenium Blue Cashel Linen, 'A blizzard made our snowman very wild!' Finishing approx 5-1/2 x 8, the little corner guy is also charted with his hat both flying away, and coming back to him again... so you have a couple of matching ornament options. There are JABCO clay snowflake buttons scattered about... or you could use the neat metal Mill Hill snowflakes... tell us how many you need! Crisp, cheerful and cute, this is offered as a chart, I think the finishing is darling!
3 Black Cats Here's a really cute design that is actually a Halloween band sampler that has been finished into an accordian-shaped story book. Stitch the whole thing normally, or break it up into the smaller panels. Each is grommeted and then tied together with pretty ribbon. Framed sampler is worked on 28ct Lambswool, and measures approx 4-1/2 x 11. The book is stitched on 30ct Weeks Dye Works Carrot hand-dyed, each page measuring approx 3 x 4. Garnish with Just Another Button Company buttons, or stitch all the tiny motifs, this is just too cute all the way around!!! The verse reads, Three Black Cats, in black hats. They all jumped into the Halloween brew. They teased the ghosts and goblins too. Have you ever seen such a Hullabaloo?
