We love our FLAX clothes... and have begun to carry their current lines.
Loose, soft, relaxing, classy, elegant and just plain FUN to wear... these clothes look good on everybody who tries them on!
The cuts are designed to flatter and feature the best parts of you... and 'disguise' anything else!
Everything is 100% linen, with the exception of some of the gauze-weight pieces which have 52% linen and 48% cotton content.
The 100% linen pieces feature a lovely, gentle pigment-looking dye color. I've pulled our Weeks Dye Works flosses to describe the colors to you further down on the page. Mix and match the colors in your outfits.
Some the jackets and tanks are constructed on the bias, so they drape smoothly and slenderize. Lots of sleeve options for rolling! Lots of length options, too.
Most of the skirt and pant waistbands are softly elastic banded... The Flood Pants have been FLAX's top selling piece every year for 20 years!
Nothing requires an iron -- there are NO OFFICIAL FLAX RULES regarding irons -- you can dry clean and professionally press all of this if you want -- or you can toss it in your washing machine and then just hang it to dry. A neat travel trick -- hang your FLAX in the bathroom with you while you take your morning shower -- the steam works wonders -- and you haven't done a thing!
Everything is designed to be layered or mix-and-matched. You can do a million different outfit combinations -- especially with the neutral tanks, jackets and Floods. Trying all of this on is really fun -- You just never know what you'll fall in love with.
I've loved and worn FLAX for almost 20 yearss. My favorite boutique in Tulsa -- Mango & Salsa -- closed last year, the owner retired. I went into FLAX mourning, because I couldn't find a retailer in all of Oklahoma.
On the way home from an out-of-state shopping trip with girlfriends, I had them tell me all the reasons WHY Silver Needle couldn't start carrying FLAX... and HERE you see the results of that totally fun, and very official meeting in the car, on the drive home!!!!!

The Dressed in FLAX Collection
The beginnings of our Summer 2012 Dressed in Flax has arrived. What a FUN collection of Summer Dresses!!! Shipping in three different color-ways, our first -- the Kiwi Dot and Grape Waffle are already HERE! Our Cherry Plaid is shipping May 7th, and the Light Denim, Chambray and Nutmeg Waffle all ship June 4th!

Traveler's Dress
Tank style, cute button decoration on front, soft pleat detail from that button panel. We have the Kiwi Dot Gauze in this dress. It is green on the outside, but since the gauze is actually two different colors woven together... you see green on the outside, and purple on the inside. When you wear this dress, you'll see hints of the purple peeking from the hemline, and the hint of the purple in the gauze weave.

X-Specially Nice Banded
This is a fun dress... it features a bias LOOKING cut treatment... but is actually straight. Another tank style, again real cute with a t-Shirt underneath, or jacket on top. The gauze style is REVERSIBLE and stunning!!!!! I wish I could wear mine everyday! The Kiwi Dot Gauze is here now, and I reversed it to wear with my Basil Jacket from the Sunshine Collection! The green side looks great with the African Violet jacket from Sunshine, too! The Grape Waffle is also here... a textured linen, it is really soft and drapes well. Not stiff in anyway, the color is yummy, and looks good on everyone.

Sunshine FLAX 2012
Wow, this is the summer collection of casual gauze and linen, that we have had for several weeks now. We've sold so much of it so quickly,
I couldn't put it up right away, until I had more coming! We've concentrated on the Cargo Pants, the Sunshine Tanks and the 3/4 Cardi
pieces in this collection because they all mix and match, look really good on just about every body type, and come in a mixture of the
linen AND gauze fabrics for lots of added interest.
Sunshine Tank
Just a nice, basic piece, this fits well. Linen body, there is gauze trim at the neckline and all along the bottom. It peeks out from
underneath the 3/4 Cardi and looks great!

Oh... I love this one. We have it in just the Impatiens Pink Gauze and the Basil Gauze. Wears well over a T-Shirt -- some of the pieces
from the BOLD Collection work well with this one. Longer -- not long enough for a dress, you'll need something under it. Loose and
flowing, pocket decoration, not reversible.

be. It's really neat, because it is a linen 'center' but features gauze sleeves and bottom trim! You can even roll these sleeves along
with your 3/4 Cardi!

3/4 Cardi
The BEST little piece in this collection! If you don't get anything else... get one or two of these! Short little jacket, sleeves roll
well, but not too long if you don't, because they are 3/4 length. Pairs perfectly over the Sunshine Tank, and the Cropped
Cargo Pants. Cute over the So Cali Dress, wear it with a denim skirt, it'll go with half your closet of clothes! I ordered it in just about everything, because we can't seem to keep these in stock!

Cropped Cargo Pants
These are really cute and VERY comfortable! Elastic waistband, lightweight linen -- but not handkerchief weight -- these feature a
flapped pocket leg treatment. The bottoms of the legs feature a drawstring decoration -- you can take out the string if you want --
or gather the legs and tie them at the sides. A NICE medium length on everybody... surprisingly enough, they make everyone's ankles look
good, and show off cute shoes, too! The second best piece in this collection -- I ordered 'em in every color to match the Cardi, tank
the Tees! (Darn!)

Borderline Skirt
Pretty, straight-line skirt, this features a band of gauze along the bottom -- just like the Sunshine Tank, and the Sunshine
Pullover. Wear it with the 3/4 Cardi for a nice, dressy look. You get the shorter jacket with the gauze trim from the Tank peeking out,
then the bottom of the skirt offers the same gauze --very pretty!

A basic dress -- tank-style top with gauze treatment -- just like the Sunshine Tank -- again, this is real cute under the 3/4 Cardi! (See

UnderFLAX 2012
A Summer-weight -- lovely and light in feel -- WHO KNEW that these charming little pieces of Lipstick and Onyx along with those Polka
Dots would enchant us all? I didn't get the 'pajama styles' in this particular collection -- we liked the Cardi and Cami the best. Just
simple, cute, lightweight pieces with such a flair. The red is AWESOME! Wear them with jeans or whatever...
Jill's Cardi
Everyone loves this little jacket/blouse! Sleeves to roll up, a gently gathered and elasticized feminine neckline treatment, wear it over any of the Simple Cami colors. We have this in the Lipstick, Onyx and Polka Dot.

Simple Cami
This pairs great beneath the Jill's Cardi. We've worn all the combinations! Since I ordered this piece in the Shirred Linen fabric, you can pair Shirred Lipstick under the Lipstick, or the Shirred Onyx under the Polka Dot, or the Polka Dot under the Lipstick... you get the idea. ALL the combinations look great
together. The Polka Dot is not shirred -- just a great lightweight linen. Again, we have Shirred Lipstick, and Shirred Black

FLAX BOLD for Spring and Summer 2012
Gauze, Canvas and Printed Bandana Colors 
A bright and cheerful way to look forward to Spring and Summer weather, the shop is brimming with gorgeous new gauzes and linens. Little shorty jackets, and longer gauze and linen shirts and covers, fun tee shirts and tanks, even some linen shorts... we tried to get at least 4 or 5 pieces that each go with each other... so you have TONS of outfit options! Of course not all the pics quite match what I ordered, but you can get a style idea, and good color sense. If reading all of this is overwhelming... just call us! Great Fit! Biased panels, but the seams hold everything well in shape. Nice long length, too. We have this in LINEN, in Petunia

Linear Crop
LOVE this one. Very cute, nice shorter length, but the band across the bottom and sleeves gives it some body and lets it hang well. We
have this in LINEN in Kiwi and White. We also ordered it in Rose Quartz Gauze which is KILLER!!!! You will probably want to wear a
shell or something underneath the gauze as it is a bit sheer.

A more generous top -- hides a little more -- flattens the bust a little. We have this in LINEN in Kiwi and Petunia Pink. It looks

Woodstock Top
Another fun, loose top. I wanted something that would be colorful over a white shell underneath. I like the way the gauze drapes, and
since this is a 'drapey' piece -- I liked the soft gauze better than the linen which has a bit more body. I told some of the shop girls
that if someone thinks you're looking pregnant... say THANK-YOU! (they've just shaved 20 years off your age!) We have The
Woodstock top in GAUZE of Aquamarine, Rose Quartz and White. VERY nice!

Zen Dress
We chose Peacock Linen for this style. The dresses in the pic show gauze -- but that's too see-through for a summer dress without
leggings or a slip. Our Peacock Linen looks GREAT with the Kiwi Bandana jacket over it, the Gotcha Covered shirts -- all three!, even
the white gauze V-Neck Cute Cardi! Believe me... between all the shop gals and the customer coming in... we've tried on EVERYTHING and
are getting pretty good and mixing and matching!

Gotcha Covered
Great, loose cover-up style. This is fun to wear open, rolling up the sleeves as shown. Nice in length, not too bulky in shoulder
area, so you don't drown in it. You look good, because the hemline curves up at the sides. Very casual and classy looking. We have
this in LINEN Kiwi, Peacock and White.

The Sport Jacket
Too darn cute! Very lightweight linen -- the design is printed on the fabric, so when you roll the sleeves a little, you see lighter
fabric on the backside. Not too heavy, so it drapes and fits well -- not stiff. I hate stiff jackets, because I feel like I'm in a neck
brace! We have this in the Kiwi Bandana and Kumquat Bandana LINEN. It looks fantastic over all the Parallel Tanks, the Linear
Crop and the Zen Dress. Pair it with jeans over a white T.

Very popular, loose, elastic banded pants that eve ryone loves! Mona has to shorten hers... and they are above the ankle for some of the
other shop gals! Very basic, I just got Floods in LINEN Kiwi -- to go with all the other Kiwi we have, and White. Floods have been FLAX's most popular piece for 23 years!

Bold Knickers
Who Knew? These are WONDERFUL! I am 5'2. The longer pants feel like I'm drowning... these feature a flat front band, elastic on the
back, and they don't have too much fabric in the hips. We only ordered them in White LINEN... and have had to re-order already! I
wanted a shorter option to a loose white linen slack, and they are perfect!

Cute when these are on, a longer, loose short. We ordered them in the Kiwi Bandanna to go with all the solid Kiwi, Peacock and

The FLAX Neutral 2012 Collection
Black, Creme and Natural... Handkerchief and Pucker finishes... sleek and classic!
Of note is the Natural -- it IS just like our Natural Linens we stitch on!!! Much more tightly woven, of course, but we remark when
we look at it... that maybe you COULD stitch on it!!!

Tied & True -- This is a long, slim skirt. It features a charming cinch tie back treatment down low in the back... really for
decoration. I personally don't wear long skirts anymore, because I feel too short and dowdy in them, but several of the shop gals 5 - 5
and over look really nice in this. (I'm just missing those 3 inches!) This piece pairs beautifully with the Banded Cardi, Shirttail and Fundamental Tank.

The FLAX Ltd 2012 Collection
We chose to bring in three different color optons. You can wear these mono-chromatically -- all pieces of the same color together -- or mix them up! They both look really good with the Plum -- which was a total surprise for us!
Burgundy -- I pulled Week's Rum Raisen and Cranberry Ice!
Plum -- Looks just like our Week's Taffeta hand-dyed floss.
Citron -- We had to laugh, because Dirt Road is a great match! What a strange way to discribe color to you! Citron is a mixture of Week's Dirt Road and Oak!
Boxy Tank -- A great, basic piece! Great length, there is a slight flair along the bottom -- makes you look smaller!

Tiered Tank -- A Bias-cut tank, this one features two bias bands of matching-color gauze fabric along the bottom. A longer style tank, this looks FANTASTIC with the Floods and the Tiered Skirt!

Our FLAX Return Policy:
Sometimes, just holding something in your hand is all you need to decide that it's just the perfect thing! Sadly enough, however, some
things just don't work out for one reason or another... and a return is needed. Our FLAX Return policies:
Please call or e-mail the shop first, to alert us of the return.
Please send along a copy of the sales slip that arrived with the order when you ship your return... and a note explaining the
situation. Daytime contact info for you, as well! Sometimes, things come back to us with no notes... and we don't know what to do with them!
Any returnable items must be in re-saleable condition -- original packaging intact, absence of pet hair or cigarette smoke, etc.
Returns of FLAX for any reason must be made within 2 weeks of original purchase date. Garments must not be altered, worn,
(includes no make-up residue from *trying on*) laundered or dry cleaned. All original FLAX tags must be intact.
If Silver Needle has made an error with your order, we will reimburse your return shipping via UPS ground, or the US mail. Please make sure
it can arrive to us safely! If you are choosing to return an item because you've changed your mind, shipping will be at your expense.
Any obviously defective items will be credited their purchase price.
Sale and Special Order items are not returnable.
Please open your order immediately on receipt, and check it. Any claim for errors in shipment or charges need to be made within 7 days.
