Just Nan Designs 2 : The Silver Needle, Fine Needlecraft Materials


Ghoulies & Ghosties Shipping to us the 4th week of August, we expect a great new release of Nan's Halloween and Christmas designs! Ghoulies and Ghosties is a colorful piece... kind of a spindly 'tree' of Halloween silliness... it's full of bright oranges, yellows, slime green, black, white and purple. All of Nan's favorite creatures are in this one, the little swirly ghosts, the HUGE spider, the funky witch, it's just darling. We're planning on finishing our shop model into a Tall Triangle Stand-up, with a big, lavish topper. Ghoulies and Ghosties looks to finish approx 5 x 9, and is stitched on 28ct Country French Cappuccino Linen in DMC's or an awesome selection of silks! Taking reservations, we expect our shipment to arrive the 23rd or 24th... so will ship reserved items that day to you!
2007 Christmas Biscornu This is an exquisite ornament design finished into a little 'tuffet-like' cushion! The particular shape of this piece is called a Biscornu -- pronounced 'bis-cor-new' -- and is becoming quite the needlework rage! We started to notice this delightful shape last year, and even made one at last Fall's Camp Wannasew weekend. (They finish easily in about an hour.) Nan has designed a lovely piece... trees on one side and snowflakes on the other... and then added a Whimzi Hanger... and we're treated to an exquisite ornament! No hanger... and it can be a pin cushion. Offered as a leaflet, with accompanying embellishment pack, your Biscornu is stitched in silks and metallics and garnished with beads, glass flowers, crystal buttons, and finishes to a 3-4 inch size. The embellishment pack includes the optional ring to attach to the piece, and hangers are offered separately. So, so pretty and unique!
Christmas Ribbons Nan's 2007 Christmas Band Sampler, is stitched in Weeks overdyed flosses, bits of #4 metallic Braid, and #8 Perle Cottons. The satin-y flowers, the lacy trees, all is garnished with lots of tiny gold beads. I don't know the design size yet, or any stitch details... so all we have at the moment is this tiny teaser pic! Very Classic Nan... something elegant to dress your home for the Holidays! Offered as the leaflet with embellishments, this is stitched on 28ct Light Mocha Cashel Linen.
Bellemeade Just Nan's third breathtaking seasonal manor house sampler has also arrived. I would be thrilled to live at Bellemeade, Winterhaven or Silkwood Manor... but I'm not so sure I could afford the mortgage!!! Straight from Nan's creative imagination comes this exquisite study in brilliant, rich summer color, gardens full of ripe strawberries and graceful wildflowers, morning glories and ladybugs, running rabbits and a swan swimming in the pond, and stitch after special stitch!!! A commanding piece, Bellemeade finishes approx 9-1/2 x 13 on 30ct Cameo Shell Legacy Linen. Stitched in an incredible assortment of silks and some pretty wools, the thread assortment includes enough to stitch the tiny 3 x 3 matching needle case piece, as well. (It features that pretty swan in the pond!) Lovely borders and motifs, the verse reads While summer days are long and sweet, with blossoms ever new, I'll show to others of my time, what clever hands can do. Making Friends Just like Frightful... this is a tiny collection of tiny pieces... they go together... but individually... they fit perfectly into their own little Just Nan Whimzi Frames!!! Are you watching that little snowman making another??? Each square of the main design tells a part of the Making Friends story! Garnished with a central snowflake embellishment, it's a challenge to see where the stitches stop and the embellishment begins! Notice the little 'take-out' design pictured on the leaflet cover? That Whimzi frame has a cool 3-D snowman charm attached. Perfect for any of the 4 smaller designs... you could use this little frame for Snowfaces or Snowbonnets!
Pansies Please All you Pansy-Lovers... this is for YOU! A lovely study in florals... stitch 4 flowers in crosses, two more in satins, and two more that are very stylized cross stitch versions. Featuring Nan's Vision charm as the central embellishment... there are lots of tiny beads -- (the square shape that picks up the light so much more effectively than the seed shape) -- this features lots of specialty stitches, as well. Finishing approx 4 x 4 on 28ct, the tiny Whimzi accessory design at the lower left measures only 2 x 2.
Daffodil Run A precious bunny-run-around scene... these Spring Runners are racing through the blooming daffodils... chasing, chasing, chasing... (or being chased by my little dogs!!!) Stitched on 32ct Flax Belfast linen in regular DMC flosses, the tiny pic measures just 2-3/4 inches square. The intricate daffodil bouquet charm in the center is a lovely miniature 5/8-inch hand-painted creation that features three yellow flowers -- so detailed! I just love the colors, very "Springy!' Daffodil Run is pictured inside a very heavy, yet delicately filigreed pewter frame. Scattered with tiny enameled flowers on the front, the back of the frame has a small easel stand-up... and it all looks perfectly wonderful here, at home, on my desk!!!
Queen of the Needle This is Nan's Sampler that matches the exquisite Queen of the Needle Sewing Case she designed and taught for The Silver Needle last summer, as part of her 15th Anniversary and Homecoming Visit back to SN! Our Queen of the Needle Needlecase is long retired, however this Queen Sampler (yes, there are going to be more pieces in this set!) features the same color palette, lots of the same charming bird and floral motifs, the same beginning verse, along with a new second verse to the Queen of the Needle Story! Luscious silk in pinks and roses, lavenders, blues, and greens, the stitches are lovely and so are the filigrees, bunnies, and other tiny details tucked in here! In my little kingdom of stitches that cross, I am Queen of the Needle and boss of the floss! Bluebirds and bouquets obey all your wishes, when you rule all the colors and command all the stitches. Stitched on 28ct Graziano Light Rose linen, it finishes approx 6 x 14. Sooo pretty! We're taking reservations now for shipment the day they arrive!
Scream Girls OK... WAY cute! Another of Nan's cute little Halloween Whimzi designs... this one complements her Crow Jackers, Moon Riders, and the four small designs that make up Frightful! (Did you know that each of those fits a Whimzi Frame?) And... if you came to the Hershey, PA Stitching Festival last year... you have a special edition -- never released JN exclusive -- Be Witchy -- and I think another retired regular Whimzi, as well, which is in my stash somewhere!) Anyhow, Scream Girls is offered as the chart, and is stitched in DMC on 28ct Natural Linen. Very cute, when you begin to finish all of these, you can have a darling Halloween tree of Whimzis!
Snow Bonnets Oh, this is a DARLING companion to Snow Faces -- it's the girl version!!! Offered as a small chart pack, stitch the four snow ladies and tuck them into one of Nan's Whimzi Frames! Cute, bright winter colors, this is a 'quick stitch' and will be cute displayed with 'the boys!'
Autumn in the Square Wow... Nan's fourth and final Season in the Square is here, and it's luscious! (We'd had our hands on the model when she was here for Queen of the Needle, and I wished we could have just hung onto it...!) Anyway, pretty Autumn colors in the pumpkins and vines that surround the little Falling Leaves Vision charm in the center of the garden, this finishes approx 6 x 6. Delicate, just like the other three, there are 8 squirrels in here, along with apple trees and grapes!
Ginger Joy This is PRECIOUS!!! Nan's whimsical nature is showing in this delightful piece... I love the gingerbread boy, the angel, and lacy old-worlde Christmas tree. Stitched with regular flosses, it does call for a bit of #4 antique gold metallic braid that adds touches of elegance. Ginger Joy is packaged with Forest Berries embellishments, overdyed silks, red Swarovski sequins, gold star, and rose gold beads. Very different, very pretty! Very Nan!
12 Days of Christmas Whimzis Wow, Nan's newest releases have arrived today, and they're all just wonderful! Offered in a leaflet, 12 Days is a set of ornaments that follow the verses of the 12 Days of Christmas Song. Stitch them together as one piece, or make a set or two of charming tree ornaments -- either way they're full of charm and color. Each 'number' is shown on 32ct linen. Lots of pretty, rich color, you can stitch all in either DMC flosses or all the wonderful silks and metallics they call for. (The complete set, with 30+ silks and two metallics, looks to me like you could stitch multiple sets of ornaments!) You'll need a 'fat-quarter' of Flax Linen for the set.
Ariel Just Nan has released her 15th angel... and this time... we have a border that surrounds Ariel, and all of her predecessors! Offered as a leaflet, Ariel is the same petite and delicate angel Nan has always designed for us. Her border is universal to the rest of the angels, and the leaflet supplies color conversions for highlights in that border, so it will compliment the angel of your choice!!! Ariel is also another angel option for the center of Nan's Angel Stocking design!
M.O.E. aka: Merry Old Elf Our Merry companion to J.O.E... this year's little Santa is framed in a Whimzi Frame that is garnished with a cute Ginger Boy handmade clay cookie! MOE is offered as a small chart, just like JOE... and will be perfect on your tree!
CrowJackers Just Nan's 2006 set of little, scary Halloween characters... we get a witch, ghost and tiny Trick-or-Treater all perched on black crows. Check out that little clinging ghost!!! Darling 2-inch designs, each is shown in Just Nan's Whimzi Frames. Offered as the chart, the Crowjackers are stitched in either silk or DMC... and we have the silk set available if you like!
Mermaid Heart A full-sized leaflet featuring a geometric confection of colors and stitches... mermaids and sea horses are the main theme! The embellishments include an intricate painted mermaid charm, pearls and 4 silver sea horses along with beads and crystals! Stitch the main piece or simply the inner heart motif. Our silk package has arrived for this piece... absolutely STUNNING in color...between the crisp aqua, bright raspberry, lavenders, ice blues and a lip-puckering deep apple green is tucked a metallic that is a mixture of all of them! We laugh in the shop -- forget the stitching -- just get the silks to touch, and revel in the COLOR! The smaller piece is featured inside a silver Whimzi Frame... decorated with a sea horse! (He's matte silver that has been antiqued white, and then glazed with iridescence.) If you want to stitch the smaller heart motif, but need it to look a bit on the spectacular side... get a Whimzi Show-off Frame, and the blue suede mat to switch out from the black, which comes with the frame. (Nan mentions that the blue mat looks great on the little Snowfaces, too!) Lots of options with this main pattern!
Whimzi Hangers Gold and Silver Glitz that adds to the functionality of Nan's little Whimzi Frames... these are decorative hanging hooks to accent your tiny bits of Whimzi stitching. Perfect as ornament hooks for your Christmas Tree... Nan really has designed these with 'all year long use' in mind. She now has so many fun little Whimzi designs, that you can have seasonal trees, and use these to hang the frames -- with a touch of class! Use the silver ones for the Moonriders and the Snowflakes. Use the gold for the Santa series... mix up the two finishes if you want, since there are now so many different frame finishes... you choose! Whimzi Show Off Frames Wow, Just Nan has developed a wonderful, large-ish and elegant framing option for her little 2-inch Whimzi Frames. This is the COOLEST mat and frame set that transforms a small ornament-sized frame into a substantial piece that can be displayed on an easel stand, or hang nicely in a wall grouping. The gold/silver leafed frame is an overall 7 inches in size. The back features flippy tabs to swivel out, making it easy to change the featured Whimzi and stitching. Simply remove the back board, take out your Whimzi, replace with another, replace the top Ultrasuede mat... and slip back into the Show Off Frame! The inside boards feature a deep, recessed area to nestle the Whimzi in place, so it appears to be level with the suede top mat. What a great way to transform a little stitching into an elegant framed piece -- with no effort! Whimzi Show Offs are currently offered with the gold/silver leafed frame and a black suede mat. The frame finish seems to go well with all of Nan's Whimzis... although I'm not as crazy about the shiny silver... I think the golds look the best in these. She had the Snowfaces displayed in this at Market -- but had a dusty blue suede mat instead of the black -- and it was stunning! J.O.E. Winter in the Square The first of the four seasons in this small set... Winter features a wintry gazebo, surrounded by its wintry garden and fences. Each of the four seasons will be the same size, follow the same design format, be stitched on the same 28ct Light Mocha Linen, and feature the coolest new charm/embellishment. I know you can't see well from the pic, but it's a tiny acrylic dome that magnifies the miniature picture underneath! It's like looking through a magnifying glass. Offered as a leaflet with the embellishment... it measures approx 4-1/2 x 4-1/2.
Snowfaces Oh my gosh... this is a DARLING 4-way snowman scene... I love the colors, I love the design, and I love the Whimzi frame they're in! Nan has such a fun way with this kind of thing! Snowfaces is offered as a small pattern pack. The frame and tiny snowflake clip-on charms are sold separately, so that you can stitch more than one if you want to. Snowfaces measures a mere 2 x 2 stitched on 28ct light blue linen. The Whitewashed Antique Embossed Whimzi frame is one of the three new finishes... so pretty!
Flying Colors Nan's newest Lessons on Linen pattern... these are designed to be taught as shop classes, if desired. Nan has designed the butterfly that is full of special stitches for interest and texture. However, in a class format, you never have enough time to complete the main project, sometimes mis-count... and sometimes ruin the main piece. The Lessons on Linen designs offer step-by step stitching guides, and a smaller companion design to the main one that offers all the same techniques and stitches the larger, main design does... but it's delivered in a more class-room-friendly manner. So... you get two for one!!! Top of Form 4 Flying Colors is stitched in a pretty palette of soft greens, lavenders and blues... and clear pinks! I think my pic looks a bit on the peachy-side... but wanted you to know that this is definitely roses and pinks! The silk package contains whole skeins of 17 different colors -- perhaps you have a stitching friend to split the pack with?
Frightful A four-patch of Halloween delight... this is a charming design that is full of bright greens, oranges and purples. One of Nan's 5 new patterns that have just arrived, your stash is definitely falling behind... as you need all of these! Frightful is designed as one piece... each section can be split and stitched individually to be inserted into Just Nan's new WhimZi frames. So we're also showing you a great little ghost clip-on charm you can use on the Whimzi frame if you'd like. (The thread pack of silks you'll need is also the same one that Nan's Moonriders pattern uses -- double use out of the same threads!!) Offered as a leaflet, the little ghost is stitched into every scene, and the featured charm in the main design. Finishing approx 5 x 5 on 28ct, each smaller ornament measures approx 2 x 2 and fits into the optional frames. So cute... Side By Side from Just Nan and Charland Designs The 2003 friendship collaboration from JN and Charland this year's design is a lovely, delicate band sampler full of special stitches and bold raspberry and lavender colors! Finishing approx 3 x 12 on 28ct Cashel Linen, it's stitched in flosses with touches of Vintage Violets Silk 'n Colors thread and Mill Hill beads -- they're the bird eggs in the teeny nests! The border features hidden motifs and places to add your initials and those of your stitching friends... but they look like they belong to the piece!!! The crowning feature, however, is the really cool sterling charm that's included. Charland's is a bird perched on a needle. So is Nan's... but the needles slide together, so the birds share the same stitching branch!!! Very detailed, very delicate and pretty... birds of a feather really DO stitch together!!! Moon Riders Gosh... a trio of Halloween ornaments that are full of color and charm! A matching look to our Exclusive TreatORTreat Box that's coming in late August, these three designs are featured in Just Nan's WhimZi Frames! Offered as the chart of all three, these are stitched on 32ct Natural Linen in the MOST DELICIOUS shades of Au Ver A Soie Silk threads, or DMC flosses, if you'd rather. Hot pinks, oranges, limes, bits of yellow, purple and black, the silk set has enough to stitch the main companion piece to Moon Riders -- which is entitled Frightful! Jolly Old Elf Affectionately called JOE! Nan's little Santa face is offered as a chart, stitched on your choice of 28 or 32ct linen in bits of DMC floss and metallics, and is tucked into the gold embossed WhimZi Frame, new this year! Really cute, small, quick, and classy... your tree needs this guy! The model also features a tiny painted holly charm that is optional on the frame! Tulip Time Nan's newest tiny design that finishes a bit under 3 x 3, Tulip Time is stitched in DMC flosses of mauve, purple and greens. Its accented with a lavender pearl, and petite matte gold beads that are luscious! Tulip Time is stitched on 32ct Lilac Linen, and is shown in an enameled tulip frame that Nan found and fell in love with! (It is now sold out, however -- sorry! The pattern will join Nan's regular line.
Heartfelt A new trio of small Valentine, Birthday and Friendship designs that are all tucked into the three new finishes of Nan's Whimzi frames! Offered as a small chartpack of designs, with a smattering of embellishments included, each of these designs finishes just 2 x 2... and is a 'perfect little something' for someone special to you! Friends is stitched on Light Blue 28, Birthday is on Celery, and Love is on Angel Blush 28ct... there is even a pink butterfly clip-on charm available for any of them, if you wish! Highlighting the new Whimzi finishes... you can pick and choose which you like best: Antique Brass Embossed or Matte Silver Embossed. Choices, choices, choices! Jasmine Mix This is one of Nan's small geometrics (approx 3-1/2 x 3-1/2) that features a jasmine charm and tiny bead embellishments. Finishing approx 3 x 3 on 28ct Natural Linen in deep shades of 930, 3041 and 3685 families of DMC, it's packaged in the small chartpack format. Wintry Mix is still popular... so we can't wait for this one!

Ornamental Letters Here's the entire alphabet stitched individually and placed in Nan's new frames. Choose either 28ct Opalescent/natural linen, or Opalescent/white... gold metallic for the natural, silver for the white... and matching frames, and you've created a tiny masterpiece!!! Stitch an entire word, or just the initial of someone special, so that it can grace your Christmas tree... or a favorite small spot of space... these are beautifully done! Offered as a small chart pack with all the letters included, the skys the limit with this one! Each individual letter measures approx 2 x 2 when finished.

Holly Berry Snowflakes A wonderful, lacy set of snowflake ornaments... stitch these on 28ct Natural Linen that has opalescent woven throughout, and they'll just glisten! Shown in Just Nan's WhimZi frames... each flake measures approx 2 x 2... and is featured in the Silver frames. The embellishments included are tiny pearls, crystals, silver metallic-lined petite glass seed beads, and clear glass beads. Elegant and frosty... these are actually a quick stitch with a lot of visual impact!

WhimZi Frames Darling hanging ornament or easel-backed miniature frames... there has been nothing little and classy like these on the market for us stitchers!! Nan has designed, and is manufacturing a set of 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 inch metal frames, in 6 different colors and finishes. Each features a 2 x 2 opening, and will fit an infinite amount of projects you have! Packaged individually, and including a burgundy or orange organdy drawstring gift/storage bag... you can choose between the silver plain, silver embossed, gold plain, gold embossed, or antique brass embossed!! >Then, if that isn't enough... along with all the new designs Nan has created for these... she's had little hand-painted charms made for them that clip on at the top hanger for a touch of extra fun! Use the frames for Punch Needle things, regular old photos (!), needlepoint... any little WHIMZI! Nan has supplied us with a back template for the easel stand, and has had interfacing lining dye-cut to fit these, so all you need to do is trim your fabric (or photo, or whatever) to the interfacing's size, slide them all into the frame, and you're DONE!!! Twinklings Here is a set of four softly geometric florals that each feature delicate filigree embellishment medallions in their centers! Stitched on the new 28ct White Opalescent Cashel Linen in pretty raspberries and rich greens, there are three neat Kreinik metallic braids in them, as well. Each finishes approx 2 x 2... and tucks into a WhimZi frame of your choice! The package contains all four charts, glass seed beads and two silver filigrees, as well as two gold filigrees. Very Just-Nan-y... these are elegant!

Christmas Wishes Peace, Joy & Love... three Christmas sentiments that belong on your tree and in your heart! Offered as a chart pack of the three matching designs, each is stitched on 32ct Flax linen in DMC flosses. They are featured in Nan's new WhimZi frames... and five of the six would work!
Spring In The Square The second in Nan's 4-season set of Squares, Spring is a garden full of greenery, flowers, violets, bees, the gazebo... and of course, the fun Visions charm of swans swimming in the springtime pond. Stitched on 28ct Light Mocha Cashel in lots of DMC flosses, this finishes the same size as companion design -- Winter in the Square, shown below -- 4-1/2 inches square. Pretty stitches for texture and effect, the pattern is offered as a leaflet with the Visions embellishment piece.
Garden Maze A quick geometric/floral by Just Nan... Garden Maze is full of raspberries and greens, stitched on 28ct Flax Linen and finishing approx 3 x 3. There are three different Vision charm embellishments that are coming with these... each is pretty... and which ever you get... you'll be surprised and smile! No special stitches, bits of DMC... this is a fun, quick-stitch! Offered as the card-chart with Vision embellishment.
Bliss Just Nan's 15th Anniversary Creation is here!!! A delicately detailed floral band sampler, Nan indicates that she stitched her piece with a variety of silk threads in order to create special effects of color, light and texture. Offered in booklet form, the chart is stuffed full of pretty specialty stitches, and the embellishment pack contains soft silk braids, overdyeds, and perles of pinks, along with rose and lavender beads, and tiny white pearls. Inside, the chart and instructions cover 10 pages, and it makes you happy even to page through them, contemplating the time when you get to stitch this delicious piece! Baby Garden Nan and John became grandparents on August 6th of last year, and this darling sampler commemorates little Victor! Oh gosh, his baby garden features his cradle, room for his name, a clock for his time of birth, and tons of little critters! Stitched on 28ct Natural linen, using 8 different stitches, you'll find all sorts of treasures tucked into this! Victor has a fish pond, lots of flowers and trees, bunnies (the featured embellishment is a hand-painted bunny Charmbead), assorted bugs, frogs, birds and a nest, squirrels, kitties (Grandma's favorite animals), a turtle, spider and even a little lizard!!! What a lucky kid!!! Baby Garden finishes approx 10 x 5, and is full of Just Nan detail and elegance! Flakes Stitch a charming trio of snowmen, all dressed in striped coats, earmuffs, and mittens! Stitched on 28ct Creme/Raw Newport Linen, which features a woven thread that creates little squares into the fabric, they finish approx 6 x 9. The embellishment included, a hand-painted robin charmbead, is perched on the foot of the middle snowman! That fabric adds just a bit of whimsey! Offered as a leaflet, with the embellishment.
Wintry Mix Pretty jewel-tones create this geometric Wintry Mix that kind of reminds me of evergreen trees in the snow! The featured embellishment in the center is a painted lacy snowflake charm. Winterhaven Nan's second limited edition mansion sampler is here!!! After months of waiting, this is just such a treat to hold! A beautiful lacy, beaded border surrounds bands of special stitches and tiny animal details. Stitched on 28ct Flax Cashel Linen in scrumptious colors of mauve, blue, taupe, greens... the silk package offered is too pretty to open and use! Finishing approx 13 x 9, there are several different types of silks, Accentuate brand metallics and a bit of Londonderry linen thread used, but there are options for DMC floss as well, if you prefer. Embellishments include seed beads and a 1-inch square lacy metal frame charm that is featured above the mansion. Check out the pic of the coordinating scissor slide! Ghastly, Ghostly Ghouls! I'm thinking this is a delightful seasonal companion piece to Nan's High Hopes design! GGG is a delightful design that finishes approx 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 on 28ct Cobblestone Cashel Linen, and features the one-inch miniature pewter coffin charm which actually opens to reveal the dead skeleton inside!!! (Dead skeleton, I guess, is redundant, isn't it?) Absolutely over-the-top with rich reds, oranges, rusts, chartreuse, and purples, the spooky Halloween garden is filled with spiders, ghosts, cats and toads... quite different than the spring garden of High Hopes!!! Witch Way Nan's Halloween piece for 2003 is here, along with several other new designs! Darling, darling, Witch Way is full of bright oranges, copper, yellows, golds, slime-lime greens, purple, deep blue and of course, black! Stitched in either silk or DMC flosses, and finishing approx 6 x 6 on 28ct, there are a few special stitches included in the witch's broom and hair for added texture and interest -- although there is plenty going on to delight the eye!
The little witch is casting a spell into her cauldron, the ghosts are holding Jack 'O Lanterns, and check out the teeny toads in there! Silkwood Manor Silkwood Manor Sampler is the first edition of a four-part series, one sampler due out each year for the next four! Each sampler features a mansion, and it's seasonal garden, surrounded by borders and bands of specialty stitches. Reminiscent of schoolgirl samplers in the 18th century, Silkwood Manor is the summer house in this new set. So colorful, so much fun to study, stuffed full of cool specialty stitches, it's just wonderful! Stitched on 28ct Natural Linen in DMC's, this finishes approx 4 x 14, and features an embellishment set that includes a painted umbrella charm and also a painted beehive -- along with the petite seed beads. Each season has its own graph in the book, so you could stitch it individually if you want... but this is so charming 'stacked!' Frosty Hopes The Winter Garden version of Nan's #118 High Hopes Summer Garden, this is a 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 inch square design packed full of tiny garden plants, critters, and decorations! Check out the fat winter birds, my favorite part -- the lavender glass gazing ball, which is actually metallic #4 braid!!! The special stitches used really add texture to the miniature birds nests and pine cones -- and most of the robins are stitched over one thread while the rest of the piece is over two. The featured charm is 'metal yard art!' It's a darling pewter snowman charm... complete with a big nose, a broom, and billowing scarf! Lots of fun to look at this will be even more fun to stitch because of all the charming little details! (I think those are snowballs on the garden bench!) Icy Hill I believe these snowmen are wearing sunglasses!!! Finishing approx 4 x 10 on 28ct Misty Blue linen, this darling band sampler features a fun verse: Once upon an icy hill, we all fell down, While standing still! Full of special stitches, there are mitten and snowflake motifs, as well as a funky little sterling cat charm... that maybe teased the snowmen??? It's a great wintery sampler!
Needle In A Garden Planting stitches and marking the rows... sounds like there are alot of similiarities between gardening and stitching!!! Worked on 28ct Natural/Creme Tattersall linen, you'll notice the creme threads woven throughout the linen that gives it the 'checkered' look. Lots of special stitches, crows, flowers, and vines... this is a delightful springtime design that features an antiqued pewter scarecrow charm. Gingham Christmas This is a delightful Holiday band sampler stitched on a cranberry plaid Graziano linen, that is exclusive to Just Nan! Remember the Morning Song design? This is the same linen, only rich cranberry replaces the taupe threads! Tiny Santa, wreath, tree and snowflake motifs decorate the bands of this sampler that finishes almost 4 x 10 on the 28ct linen. There is a coordinating small tree ornament chart in the leaflet at well! Barnabee's Quest Part II Lady Scarlet's Journey, this is a three-part band sampler with a garden theme. Barnabee is a little bumblebee buzzing through his garden of life, looking for the perfect flower, I imagine! There is a painted rooster charmbead in this second part, that is so colorful... you'll want him if you're a chicken collector! The first leaflet and charms are still available, as well.
Barnabee's Quest Part I The 2001 sampler is beginning, with Barnabee -- a little bumblebee -- and his yearly travels through his garden. Released in a series of three leaflets, with three separate embellishment packs, part one is here, with part two, ready to be released in April. (Let us know if you'll want to receive all three parts from us.) Finishing approx 4 x 14, Barnabee is full of bright colors -- part one has some beautiful, brilliant blue beads -- and fun stitches. Plant Kindness Stitch this gardening sampler, approx 3 x 8," on 28ct white linen, in springtime shades of greens and pinks, with lots of bright vegetable colors tossed in! Three colors of the newest DMC releases are featured as well. Only five specialty stitches, Nan has charted scarecrows, cabbages, radishes, peas and carrots, and a row of strawberries. The embellishment is a tiny pink enameled pig charm, which is tucked into the cabbage patch. Very cute, it'd make a nice companion to Morning Song!
