This is a set of pretty cushions, cases and cards -- all designed and presented to make your needlework tools and totes feel special. This is pretty candy to present to a stitcher... she doesn't have to DO anything to enjoy them -- no advanced stitching! She doesn't LOSE TIME enjoying these! She gets to use them right away, organizing all her pins, needles, scissors and threads -- so they don't take over the arm of the couch!!! All hand-made, (with the help of Lady Dot who is actually a very contented kitty cat that is not allowed to leave kitty hair behind!) each is made with lovely Moda cotton fabric (Blackbird's Sampler and Wild Rose collections!), hand-dyed silk ribbons, 100% wool felts, and lovely antiqued Mother-of-Pearl buttons.
Wild Rose Button Box We have the most delightful collection of fun new necessaries by Lady Dot Creations! A classy heart pin cushion, an elegant beeswax waxer trimmed with gorgeous engraved mother-of-pearl buttons, a neat pouch that stores a trio of cork-topped bead bottles, a pair of fabric button boxes... and sets of stick pins that are topped with delicate paper flower cut-outs! Everything is lovingly and individually hand-made in California. Moda fabrics are featured, the trims are usually silk, and the button-accents are always more mother-of-pearl! Because of their nature, Ms Lady Dot does not promise an endless supply of her creations! Fabrics run out with the manufacturer's runs... so as Moda removes them from the line... Lady Dot will find something else just as chaming!!!! But for now -- enjoy these dreamy little pieces!
Because it's Blue! Button Box and Needle Leaves Take the Wild Rose Button Box a step further, and add a matching fabric needlebook with the most luscious linen pages inside! Same little fabric folded button box with button and cord closure, the needle book measures approx 3-1/2 inches square. It features a gentle scalloped edge and tied together with coffee-dyed silk ribbon, and again, mother-of-pearl buttons. This one comes with a baggie of more of those pretty shell buttons, as well. Why isn't this the taupe Wild Rose Fabric??? Because it's Blue!
Bottles of What? Untie the cotton twill tape surrounding this 3 x 4-1/2 fabric case -- made of Moda's sampler fabric (which was designed by blackbird Designs!) in the cream and brick colorway. Inside are three glass bottles with actual little cork toppers! (Keep them away from your kitty!) The bottles stand about 1-1/2 inches high, plus that little stopper. Perfect for needles, buttons, beads, anything small and precious!
Bees Buttons I LOVE THIS! It is a 1-inch round pure bees wax Thread Waxer Wheel that is approx 1/2 an inch thick. Both sides are garnished with a lavish mother-of-pearl button with the prettiest etched designs. All is tied with two creamy bits of silk ribbon, to make this such an elegant little piece! Perfect to tuck into a special sewing case, and awesome simply to USE!!! Very fun, very little, very classy!
My Heart by Inches Here's the classic triange-shape, cinched together to form a stuffed heart cushion. Simple black and white, the top is tied with black and white twill tape that has centimeters printed on it! (yeah, I know the name says inches... you'll just have to go with it and practice your metrics a little!) Trimmed with a single white mother-of-pearl button and sassy red silk ribbon, there is also a red crystal-headed stick pin... so the first pin poked into your pretty cushion is elegant and smart! The cushion measures approx 4 x 4 x 2.
Wildflower Pins What fun these delicate little pins are! Simple pearl-topped pins, each is garnished with a pair of tiny paper cut-out flowers. You're not going to want to hide these inside a sewing case... they need to go on a bulletin board where you'll see them, or into a colorful pin cushion. Each bag includes a set of 12 pins -- colors are all assorted, so they look like a tiny wildflower garden! Totally, just for fun, VERY fragile!
Two Berries and a Book Ensemble My Favorite! A stunning Strawberry pincushion measuring a generous 2-1/2-ish by 6, this features wool greenery, a 1 x 2 smaller strawberry emery (walnut shells), and a charming 2-1/2 x 3-1/4 coordinating needlebook (lining fabric matches the smaller berry) with two wool needle pages inside! All is garnished with a lavish 1-1/2 inch wide silk ribbon bow... VERY, VERY pretty! Very classy!
Wild Rose Scissor Keep This is fun! It's a flat fabric case, scalloped edged closure treatment, that opens to reveal a coordinating lining and pouch to store scissors. You'll notice that these are the same fabrics used in this entire collection of Lady Dot's... whichever pieces you get -- they'll all go together! This case measures approx 4-3/4 x 3-5/8. It features 2 mother-of-pearl buttons for a wrapping closure -- and luscious hand-dyed silk ribbon to do the closing wraps! Flat, simple, functional, and very pretty!
A Heart for Leah This is a smooshed heart-shaped pin cushion that is dressed with a cotton twill bow, and a pair of gold-headed mother-of-pearl stick pins... along with a charming little button and silk tie! More coordinating fabrics... it measures approx 4 x 5 and is 2 inches thick. Cute and functional!!!!
Heirloom Tomato Pincushions We have the most fun little pin cushion and needlecase sets in right now... and they are NOT going to last very long! Made from Moda's fabric -- Blackbird's Sampler Design -- Lady Dot has made you a TRIO of Heirloom tomatoes -- one is Pear, one is Goldenrod, and the third is Persimmon (that MAY match the Stitching Portfolio you may have been luckiest enough to get last fall!) Anyway... your set of three tomatoes are READY MADE... and shaped/stuffed just like heirloom tomatoes. (flat and kind of strange, heirloom tomatoes grow from antique seeds, not like the new hormone tomatoes in the big-box grocery store.) Each tomato cushion measures approx 3-1/2 inches in diameter and 1-1/2 inches high. Garnished with green felt 'leaves' and TWO amber mother-of-pearl shell buttons, each set contains one tomato of each of the three colors, AND TWO glass and pearl headed stick pins! Tied together with hand-dyed silk ribbon and buttons that match the tomatoes... each sleeve measures approx 4 x 4. An EXCELLENT price point on these... I guarantee by the time the next release of these is out... the prices will be higher! CHARMING... really! ... and I do not and cannot get have enough sleeves to go with each tomato! (If you're lucky though... a tomato and matching sleeve makes a $9 gift!!)
Smooshie Sampler Pin Cushion from Lady Dot CreationsA pretty little pin cushion by Lady Dot Creations, this tuffet measures approx 6 x 2-1/2 x 1, and features 2 different fabrics by Blackbird Designs (one on each side.) The corners are dressed with wine-colored tassels, the center is tufted with two triangular Mother-of-Pearl buttons... and it even comes with a pair of snazzy hat pins to dress it up!
