The Silver Needle
A very primitive look, kind of angular and funky... but I like it!!! Cross Stitch designs as well as some Punch Needle... Prairie Moon has collaborated with Pep'r Pot and we have those designs here as well! Everything is offered as a chart pack, always calling for hand-dyed linens and yummy overdyeds. Enjoy!

32ct Thunderstorm is the perfect fabric to stitch this whole set of *imaginative* pieces... Da' Kats is the newest entertainment at The Crypt Club -- and you might know the perfect musician who would love it!! Both are offered as charts.

They WILL too fit under the seat! from Prairie Moon -- click to see more They WILL too fit under the seat!
Ever traveled with someone like this near-by in the airport? This fun piece really needs no other words! I do love the sparks flying from her dress, and the little kitty is precious!

Offered as a chart, this finishes approx 6 x 12 on 32ct -- charted for overdyed flosses -- we've got some awesome bright greens and purples this would be fun stitched on. You could even just frame the leaflet cover... and give it to an airline employee friend of yours!!!

Trio of Quaker-Inspired Halloween Pieces
Wow, wow, wow... look at all three of these designs! Each is stitched in just black. Choose an cool hand-dyed silk or cotton if you want an extra hand-dyed grunge look for these. Solid DMC -- you'll need approx 4 to 6 skeins of floss, less if you choose #12 perle cotton. (mix the threads for extra texture!) Actually The House that Jack built does use bits of Grape Juice and Tortoise Shell -- two really dark colors that add color without screaming it. (but isn't screaming appropriate for these pieces???)

Anyway, look at all the delightful motifs in each of these. At first, you just see a busy Quaker piece. THEN... you look and see all the spiders and rats, and skeletons and cats and bats and boots... go figure!!!! Add a couple of *really dark* over-dyed colors as accents, bits of dark purple or pumpkin or mangy, moldy green might be awesome for some of the motifs. Each is offered as a chart.
  • Thine is the Trick and the Treat is the one with the flying witch silouette and RIP inside their octagonal borders. 172 x 200 Stitches.
  • No, MINE! Is the Trick and the Treat is the one with the alphabet around the edge. 181 x 156 Stitches.
  • The House That Jack Built is the one with the haunted house silouette in the center. 166 x 123 Stitches.

The latest two Crypt Club Designs by Prairie Moon have *risen from the under* to haunt your stitching basket!!! Bite Night actually advertises the favored Sunday MORNING drink!

You definitely really love OR hate this set of designs. They definitely fill a niche market, I think they are a riot.. probably not in top-stitching priority on my list... but you gotta love that cocktail waitress! Offered as charts... keep an open mind!

Three Amigas from Prairie Moon -- click to see more Three Amigas
The latest pic taken last night at The Crypt Club shows 'The Gals' having a wild time -- death-defying, actually -- riding the mechanical bull! Dressed to Kill... you gotta love their Spirit!!!!! Yet another great skeleton scene at Prairie Moon's favorite Hot Spot -- The Crypt Club -- this is *So* Texas and Oklahoma! There are fancy and fancier leather boots on all, too!

Offered as the chart, Three Amigas is stitched on your choice of 28 or 32ct Linen -- and there is nothing else quite like that linen color for this series of pieces! Charted for either DMC flosses or Crescent's Belle Soie Silks, this is delightfully colorful when stitched, and will bring a smile to so many faces -- dead or alive!!!

    FOR A LIMITED FEW WEEKS:

Help Me! from Prairie Moon -- click to see more Help Me!
Well... I WOULD need help if I looked like any of these three!!! One of Prairie Moon's *sometimes scary/charming* Halloween designs, I think this one has lots of personality! The leaflet cover shows it on a Trail Creek Farm wall hanging... perfect for a door adornment! (But it'd make a cute pillow as well.)

30ct Weeks Scuppernong hand-dyed linen, Crescent Colours overdyed or DMC flosses, this finishes approx 8 x 8, and is really cute! Think about adding a few metallics, wouldn't that be awesome!?

OHHH, such an awesome collection of vintage snowmen and Santa designs grace the tops of these small boxes... simply stitch a bit to tuck inside, and you have a really cool gift or sit-about! Just like our set of Halloween and Patriotic boxes from last year... these are 3 x 3-ish paper boxes decorated with a vintage design... some have glitter, some ric-rak, some a bit of painting around the edges... they're all just small and really fun!

The Santas include a cut of red linen, the snowmen a cut of antique white... for your tiny bit of stitching that is hidden inside. Very classy decor, and a fun, easy and cool gift! This year, all the designs are neat -- so we're going to choose a box for you.

Cat On a Hot Orange H from Prairie Moon -- click to see more Cat On a Hot Orange H!
Prairie Moon has a fun long and skinny Halloween design that can be finished into bell pull or simply a long skinny thing! Cute ways to incorporate letters into a design, I'm thinking that spider is a little too realistic for Oklahoma and my closet!

Offered as a chart, this finishes approx 3 x 15. Charted for Belle Soie silks -- but DMC would work, too.

Merry Christmas from Prairie Moon -- click to see more The Crypt Club from Prairie Moon -- click to see more The Crypt Club!

On the First Day of Christmas...
Prairie Moon has been working on this set of stockings for some time... and we are now up to the 4th Day! #1 Is pictured here... it companions Day Two. Days 3 and 4 feature more of the primitive village scenery, but with different trees and houses. Each Day has it's featured gift... #1 has the Partridge in the Pear Tree. #2 Features the Two Calling Birds... you get the idea!

Kind of the same, kind of different from each other, offered in chart format... each is stitched on 28ct linen in overdyeds, and finishes approx 15 inches high and 9 inches wide at the toe. Too late for Santa's 2007 Visit... these are perfect to begin as a set for a family that is NOT into 'frilly'! (To make identification easier... just put your cursor over the individual stocking images to see their names.)

Little Miss Muffet from Prairie Moon - click to see a larger view Little Miss Muffet
Well, is this just not the silliest and cutest little thing?? Pumpkin-headed Ms Muffet is dealing with a TURBO spider and has the face and hair to prove it!

Offered as a chart, this is stitched on nice and mangy 30ct hand-dyed linen in Crescent Colours hand-dyed flosses. Finishing approx 6 x 7-1/2, she just a real cute Halloween-y flavored decoration! (Although, I guess, she'd be cute all year long!!!)

Home of the Free from Prairie Moon - click to see a larger view Home of the Free
Wow, this is kind of normal and straight for Prairie Moon!! Perfectly squared buildings -- an organized little town -- lovely, colonial motifs -- this belongs in a Family Room, or a neat office!

Offered as a chart, it finishes approx 8-1/2 x 10 on 32ct, and is charted for Needlepoint Inc silks. You might have to get a little creative with some overdyed color conversions if you are unfamiliar with those silks... but it looks like a fun endeavor!

Holiday Farm in Punch Needle from Prairie Moon -- click to see more Holiday Farm
Here's a new Prairie Moon design -- just like the 'Train' designs that are composed of teeny-weeny motifs all jammed together in a herky-jerky-quirky fashion -- these always turn out cute! Holiday is in the title... but I'm not sure what holiday this is supposed to depict... so I've decided its an 'Everyday Holiday!' Maybe its Valentines Day because of the heart in the middle, but I see turkeys above that, a bird with a flag for his tail over by the right-hand edge, and a Christmas Tree down in the lower right corner.

Lots of luscious overdyes of Crimson, Holly, Juniper, Rum Raisin, Lancaster Red, Red Pear, Oak, Palomino, Chestnut and Dried Sage on a 28ct this will finish approx 8-1/2 x 7. Offered as the chart, these are fun to stitch, because you finish little bit and pieces all along.

Spring Trainin' from Prairie Moon - click to see more Spring Trainin'
Lots of fun things happening in here... that yummy border, full of strong geometrics to balance the confusion going on inside the piece, is stuffed with quilt squares -- some with stars inside. Look for the Spring Train. Then, see all the fun things -- kites flying, birds and buzzing bees, bunnies and bugs, butterflies and flowers... the hands that were scary in Ghoul Train are now the Hearts in Hands, girls jumping rope, birdhouses, anchors and beeskeps... this is stitched in 26 different colors of overdyeds!!!

Stitched on 32ct, this will finish approx 8 x 10. Very fun to keep looking at -- so many hidden things to find... add something special to your family and watch them try to find them!
